Vintage 1970s Corelle Livingware Sugar & Cream Set in Spring Blossom Green - Crazy Daisy Retro Kitchenware

$53.63

This is a 1970s Original Vintage Corelle Livingware by Corning Sugar and Cream Set, complete with its original box in the groovy Spring Blossom Green; or as it is more affectionally known, the Crazy Daisy Pattern with tiny avocado green daisies on frost white dishes. If you grew up in the late 1970s-1990s, chances are you enjoyed some hearty family meals on a set of these nostalgic dishes at your grandparents or another relatives house, or perhaps they have even been handed down to your parents.

For me personally, I spent my summers at my grandparents house and cottage in a small town up in Northern Ontario and these were the dishes they used. My grandparents taught me how to do chores such as washing and drying the dishes and both the tactile feel of washing those Corelle dishes and seeing those cute little daisies in the drying rack conjure up thoughts of the carefree summer days and the good old times we shared together. The Spring Blossom pattern is simply iconic! This would also make a great gift for any Spring Blossom Pattern collector out there.

"A crisp green wreath surrounds each meal with loveliness. Delicate flowers are a reminder of tender springtime moments. A pattern for all seasons, Springtime Blossom Green accents any table with its floral good looks. A carefree pattern that points up its carefree features. It's easy to care for, easy to store and stack, and easy to serve with accessory sugar and creamer sets, platters and serving bowls. It's easy to own. Introduced in 1972, the Corelle Spring Blossom Green pattern (also known as Crazy Daisy) was retired sometime after 1986. This pattern coordinates with Pyrex Spring Blossom Green."

Condition: In excellent vintage condition, this set is in the original box (the box has visible signs of wear but it exists!) and looking at the pieces they appear to be in mint condition, if they have been used you cannot tell. The extremely difficult to find matching lid for the sugar dish is also included as well as the instructions. The cardboard box is intact however obviously worn, consistent with the age of this circa 1970s original Corelle set.

Please refer to the pictures as they are a part of the description. If you have any concerns about the condition or you require more detail I can provide additional photographs on request. All vintage/antique items are sold as-is. There are no cancellations once your shipment has been received by the post office and there are no returns or exchanges. If you have any questions prior to shipping please reach out and I would be happy to help. When purchasing multiple items from CrystallineEraVTG, I will combine shipping and refund the difference once the shipping label has been purchased.

Frequently Asked Questions

Care instructions

Most vintage and antique glassware should be hand washed only and not in the dishwasher; especially any pieces with graphics or colourful patterns, for example Pyrex, Fire King, Glasbake, Corelle, drinkware, etc. Dishwashers can dull the finish on these unique pieces and cause premature wear to the surface and patterns or cause what is known as DWD or Dishwasher Damage which is irreversible. It's always better to be safe and wash by hand if you can.

Add some dish washing liquid into a sink or basin and add warm water. Placing a towel underneath can help to avoid breakage. It is best to use a damp cloth for any pieces with hand-painted decorations to preserve the art as even regular hand-washing can degrade these over time.

Does your store offer local pick-ups?

Absolutely! If you would like to coordinate a local pick-up in Durham Region you may either purchase the items and send a note after the fact to request a pick-up and we will then refund your shipping costs; or you can send a message prior to the order to request the local pick-up and we can remove the shipping costs on the items you wish to purchase. Ordering the items immediately will guarantee availability; this is the ideal method to ensure your selection(s) are not purchased by someone else in the interim, in case we do not respond to your inquiry soon enough (we will respond within 24 hours; however, we may not be available at the exact moment of your message)
